Plot
Jung_E portrays a desolated Earth in the 22nd century that is no longer habitable due to climate change, and humans are forced to live in man-made shelters built in space. As the humans settle in around 80 of those shelters, three of them declare themselves as the Adrian Republic, attack Earth and other shelters, and cause a civil war between the Allied Force and Adrian Republic.
In the Allied Force shelter, a scientist named Dr. So-hyun (Kim Hyun-joo) is working on a project to create a robot soldier that can help the Allied Force win the war. She clones the brain of her mother, a legendary soldier who died in the war, into a robot body. The robot, named Jung_E, is a powerful and intelligent fighter, but she also has a growing sense of self-awareness.
As Jung_E learns more about the world, she begins to question her purpose and her place in it. She eventually decides that she does not want to be a weapon, and she defects to the Adrian Republic. There, she joins forces with a group of rebels who are fighting to overthrow the government.
